A lot of people worry, “What if I slow the team down?” The truth is, most feel the same way at first. But in reality, when you need a break, others usually welcome it too. These events are tough—but they’re not about being the strongest. They’re about showing up, trying hard, and leaning on each other when it counts. No one’s here to judge you—we’re here to grow together.
These events are meant to challenge you—but not break you. You’ll move, sweat, and face moments that push you outside your comfort zone, but you’ll never be alone. Your team is there to support you, and you’re always in control of how far you go. It’s not bootcamp—it’s about growth, and sometimes the discomfort is where the real breakthroughs happen. Find your pace and enjoy the ride.

Women of the Woods begins with a short welcome, clear expectations, and gear issue to get you grounded and ready. The first half focuses on learning hands-on wilderness skills—like fire-building, land navigation, shelter-making, and water purification. Then we move into the challenge phase: you’ll split into teams and tackle a list of tasks that put your new skills to the test. It’s fast, intense, and meant to push you—but never past your limit. You’ll move, sweat, support one another, and leave feeling stronger, more capable, and more alive.

What’s the mission behind Women of the Woods?
Here’s your revised version with the anti-stigma message woven in—bold, empowering, and raw:

### What’s the mission behind Women of the Woods?
Women of the Woods wasn’t born from some polished program—it happened because it was needed. What it’s become is a space where women can show up fully—loud, strong, real, and unapologetic.
We let go of the bullshit stigma that women can’t use their hands, build fire, tie knots, or lead. Fuck that. You can. And you will—not to prove anything to anyone, but to reclaim what’s always been yours: strength, confidence, capability.
Out here, women challenge themselves, lead each other, and learn real skills in the forest. It’s not about being more feminine or more masculine—it’s about being fully you.
I’m not here to coach your life. I’m here to hold a steady, safe container where you can rise, fall, learn, and grow. I’ll teach you the skills, ask the right questions, and back you up while you figure out your own answers.
This is a space to scream, sweat, laugh, cry, and rebuild with zero judgment. You don’t have to be perfect. Just powerful. And you’ll leave knowing exactly what you’re capable of.
-
“I’m not here to tell women how to be women. I’m here to hold the space so they can be powerful, raw, and real—without apology.
I’m a 6’3”, 260-pound veteran. I’ve seen what real chaos looks like. But here, I use that strength to protect the container—not control it.
Women of the Woods isn’t about being soft. It’s about being free. Free to lead, to sweat, to laugh, to push through fear—and to know someone’s got your back while you do it.
I ask questions, I don’t give answers. I make space, not noise. And in that space, I’ve watched women become more bold, more confident, and more fully themselves than they ever thought possible.
This is your reset. I’m just here to make sure it stays safe while you go all in.”
Our most common questions:
What To Expect
Expect to make friends by proving to yourself and new teammates that can contribute to a team.
Expect to learn field tested and field proven survival methods from expert survivalists.
Expect to get a good & exciting workout that you’ll revisit over and over in your mind.
Expect support form staff and participants
Expect to be outside for the duration of the event. Your vehicle will be within a 10 minute at all times.
Women of the Woods isn’t about being the toughest—it’s about becoming more capable, more confident, and more connected to who you really are. You’ll learn real-world survival skills, challenge yourself in new ways, and grow alongside a tribe of women walking the same path. Come to one event or many—each one offers hands-on challenges, breakthroughs, and moments that stick with you. If you're ready to step into your strength and do something real, this is your invitation.
What Not to Expect:
Don’t expect Navy SEAL training. This is for the average active lady to attend.
Don’t expect it to be a walk in the park either.
Don’t expect for the instructors to yell and scream at you. Your pace is decided within your team. With the challenges presented, every woman’s strength and weakness will be revealed. This is where we connect & grow.
Don’t expect to be a one woman team…as that is not a team.
Don’t expect yourself to be as fit as you once were, just show up and be the best teammate and student you can be TODAY.
You’ve got this. . . .and we’ve got your back.

“After picking my teenage son up from the last day of camp, he exclaimed, "I love this camp. It shows me that I am much more capable than I previously thought!" The continuation of skills, and growth individually and as a group is an opportunity for my son that I will continue to invest in and encourage others to as well.”
