Level 1 - Bare Essentials Course
COST: $400.00

The Bare Essentials, taught by experienced Wilderness Instructor William White, founder of The Piked Antler Survival School, is here to teach you the basics of outdoor preparedness. In this course, Will teaches you how to get out of your own way, develop confidence outdoors, and how to do it with a positive attitude and mindset. Level 2 - Beyond The Essentials Course
COST: $400.00
So, you’ve learned a few tips and tricks with friends in the woods, or from watching instructional videos online. Perhaps you’ve spent some some quality time hunting, backpacking and camping. But can you take it to the next level?
Say goodbye to lighters, matches, and store bought water filters....you won’t need them.
This Beyond the Essentials course will take you to out of your comfort zone and begin to test your grit.
You will gain hands-on experience using ferrocerium and magnesium (ferro rods) and wild tinder sources to build your fire without a lighter or matches. Be prepared to walk away knowing what plants, trees and fungi to look for to get your fire blazing. Water filters can be made multiple different ways in the wilderness. We’ll show you not only how to filter water, but how to find water using specific trees and bushes.
Shelter can save your life. You will learn how to build basic shelters with items you have in your pack. Compasses can be made simply in the wilderness. Once you understand the basics of the suns patterns, the moon, the stars, wildlife behavior and even vegetation, you’ll never need to rely on a compass again.

So, you can make fire, you’re comfortable camping and hiking and you have a “Go-Bag.” Great! But what happens when you lose some of your gear or something needs to be repaired or replaced. What if you get injured badly?
