Top notch outfit. I took the large game processing class a couple a weeks ago and I HIGHLY recommend it. All 3 instructors were great: knowledgeable and excellent instructors. They used real life scenarios to frame the material for better recall. The environment was hands-on from the get go- learn by doing. And everyone there both instructors and classmates were supportive and team oriented. Everyone was very respectful whether you were a seasoned veteran or a novice. It was a great group of guys and gals.

With humor, passion and a deep desire to bring life-saving wilderness survival skills to humans of all ages, Will White is definitely a man of the wood. I completed a six week overview skills course at Haywood Community College and it is just the beginning of my journey with Piked Antler and Will. Not only does learning these skills build confidence but it cultivates a deeper connection with our part in the natural world. Will uses a variety of teaching techniques that reach all learning styles, and he is patient and willing to go the extra step to ensure students understand. He provides ample opportunity to put skills to use and he infuses the teachings with anecdotal stories that highlight the reasons these skills are indeed necessary. It has been on my "to-do" list for many years to get really serious about these skills and I know it makes me feel so much better now that I can start a fire with "my fingernail" and build a shelter "like a beaver." All jokes aside, the bottom line is that survival is necessary and we don't need all of the fancy "things" to take care of ourselves and others. I highly recommend Will and Piked Antler.

Will is such an inspiring, patient teacher! He explains concepts well (especially for those of us who are complete wilderness novices/homebodies; in particular, his frequent use of mnemonics and colorful imagery greatly enhance one's understanding) and reiterates often the life-saving power and practicality of survival skills. The course I took, which was a six-week overview offered through the continuing education division at Haywood Community College, could hardly have been better. I definitely look forward to exploring whatever else Piked Antler Project has to offer in the future.

Will taught a survival class at Haywood Community College for our Kids’ Summer Camp - Bobcat College. There were 38 rising middle school students. He commanded the room, dealt with kids in a professional manner and got them excited about being outside. The kids adored him. They rated him 5 out of 5. He will be back for another summer camp this summer. Pleasure to work with him over the years.

Will is extremely knowledgeable and absolutely wonderful with the kids. I’m just a few short days my boys gained memories and skills that they’ll carry with them for life. (I may have learned a thing or 2 myself!) HIGHLY recommend Piked Antler for kids and adults alike!

“After picking my teenage son up from the last day of camp, he exclaimed, "I love this camp. It shows me that I am much more capable than I previously thought!" The continuation of skills, and growth individually and as a group is an opportunity for my son that I will continue to invest in and encourage others to as well.”

“I feel lead to share with you guys how much you have helped with my son. I really hope that you can both see the confidence and new posture Trevor is showing! You have truly helped my son in so many ways. Thank you for the giving of yourselves in the ways that you teach and I hope that you all know, that what is being taught is far beyond Survival Skills. You impact each individual child in such a way that it helps them grow and mature into their character. God Bless You all.”

“I think most of all Jordan gained confidence. He came home feeling like he could be a leader. He's excited about the possibility of next summer.
Thanks for all you do with the kids each year.”

“I sent my “indoors” daughter to Piked Antler’s camp in 2020 in hopes that she would find some interest in something other than TV, and I hoped that she would also see she can be stronger than she thinks she can. She has definitely shown her mom and me that she’s scared to get out of her comfort zones because she might fail.
I am the videographer for Piked Antler, so I got to see first hand how they worked with my little girl. Though it was hard to watch her struggle through the “Challenge Course,” it was clear as day to me, she was growing, right there in front of my eyes. I could see that the instructors’ hearts wanted to make it easier for her, but they held up to their own standard and let her push through. Watching this happen was a big moment in both of our lives. Thank you Will and the Piked Antler Staff.”

“I’m not sure what y’all did, but Kaleb has seriously been a different kid. He’s been helpful today, non combative- it’s been awesome!”

“This experience was transformational for my niece last summer as she struggled with middle school peer pressure - she emerged from this camp with self esteem and self reliance and the “one degree” of change made all the difference as she entered high school
I was so impressed with the program that I invited Will to host on my farm, closer to Asheville.
No excuses parents! Easy access Wilderness experience!”

“My only regret is that I didn't find this sooner. I feel blessed to have something like this available for my child and our community. Can't ask for better guys to work with your kiddos. Learning important life skills, and making forever friends is a win! Can’t wait until next time Piked Antler!”

“Caleb grows each year at these camps both in skills and confidence. It builds him, challenges him & allows him to see his capabilities in different areas. It girds him as a young man, becoming a man, and helps him to be strong, self-reliant and confident.”

“From August 9th -13th, 2021, my son Jonathan participated in one of Piked Antler Project’s summer survival camps which are taught by William White (an excellent teacher and veteran) & his staff. There's so many wonderful things I could say about this gentleman and the classes they teach. One thing truly profound is how these guys took this band of young kids, who come from different areas, homes, lives and personalities, and made them A Team! REALLY AWESOME JOB GUYS!!!
My son learned so much and he didn't fight to go, which for an introvert & video game kid, that was a big feat. I also realized my son learned something that I've been trying to teach him the last several years, which is how to be assertive & commanding without getting angry and hostile. I've personally witnessed my son assert himself towards his nephews without getting angry and/or verbally hostile. As his parent, I am truly astonished at how much my son looks up & respects these men from the PAP. Thanks guys for being awesome role models and for sharing & teaching folks the vital skills, wisdom and knowledge it takes to stay “Alive as Long as You Can” in a survival situation! Looking forward to next year.”
